I basically gave away this weekend to Settlers 2, an old strategy game for the
PC. It was nice to just play video games and watch movies for hours straight. Last night I went to visit
purly for anime. Around dinner time we were joined by
happybluebunny and
mikecap. We had a wonderful dinner and then watch "From Hell", a movie about Jack the Ripper. It was actually a rather tasteful treatment of the subject matter, and although I'm not much of a horror fan, I did enjoy it. Or perhaps it was the company.
purly was gracious,
happybluebunny was charming, and
mikecap was witty. A wonderful way to spend the evening.
Today I lazed about my apartment, perhaps for the first time since I moved here. I did some light vacuuming, washed dishes, and picked up the area. Same old story. I did receive word that
Professor Lee Becker passed away over the weekend, and that made me sad. Such is life, or death, I suppose. I also indulged myself in going on an analysis of the military situation in Iraq in response to
this post. However, now I think its time to retire for the night.
