Late Night

So Boston turned out to be New York, and returning at 2200 turned into returning at 2330, but I had a good time in the Big Apple. I ate with ultimatepsi and Julia at a deli near Rockefeller Plaza. After eating, we hit the Sharper Image across the street. Finding nothing there to amuse us, we proceeded to Times Square, where we checked out the Toys R' Us there. Around 1430, we walked down the the Richard Rodgers Theatre to catch Movin' Out. The performance was good, although I didn't realize it was actually a ballet to the songs of Billy Joel. Such is life. Lacking anything to do for a few hours, we walked down Fifth Ave to the Empire State building and visited the observation deck. Being a thousand feet above New York is rather impressive. Before returning to Worcester we got some dinner from some street vendors.

The ride home from New York on the tour bus was very much like a war; long stretches of complete boredom puncuated by unimaginable threats to one's sanity. We reached WPI without incident, and I jumped in the C70 and blitzed back down 395 to hit the hay around 0140. The good news was, my DSL modem was waiting for me! The bad news was, my username and password to SBC's network still haven't been sent to me :-(. But now, I must hurry off to class...

Current Mood: happy happy
