[PUBLIC] Star Trek Wandering

When I first got a copy of the Star Trek Encyclopedia, I would spend hours reading it. Not sequentially, I would read one entry, which would refer to other entries, which I would read, and so on. Not wikified, of course, but manually flipping through the pages. Now that I have DVD's of all five series, the same activity is considerably more dangerous to my free time.

I watched some original ST, and it seemed absolutely insane -- like, so nuts in a bad way I wondered why people were so fanatic about it. But TNG intrigues me, from what little I've seen of it. And I hear that DS:9 would be right up my alley.

I did that too. Entertained me for several months before I finally exhausted the main subgraph and started flipping to random pages to find the nodes that weren't connected. :D

Ever since we got next gen on DVD, we have something to do with our free time. It's wonderful. Instead of "What do you want to do?" "I don't know; what do you want to do?" it's "Want to watch an episode of Star Trek?" "Okay."

I suspect ownership of all of Star Trek is in our future as well.
