Emerging from Blackout

So, quite a bit has happened since last I posted. I've been reassigned to a new client. New Orleans has been destroyed. WPI has resumed session. ultimatepsi got a job. Wow.

I'm now on assignment in North Carolina, at a much nicer company than I left. I'm enjoy it greatly, although the work load is tremendous. 0715 to 2000 or 2100 every day, and that's not including 0230 wakeup on Monday. Totally worth it, though.

I've also finally broken the seal on my copy of Half-Life 2: Gordon Freeman Rides Again. I've made it about halfway through the chapters listed on the New Game screen in about five play hours, so I may complete it by Gaming Weekend, assuming no particularly sadistic boss or crate stacking puzzle awaits me. I've also been playing Battlefield 2, which has required me to learn how to fly all over again. Fortunately, the helicopters are builts of this whacky space age plastic that lets you touch down at around 70 knots and be fine. We're talking combination helicopters/reentry vehicle here.

In other news, for those of you who have asked, or are planning to ask, there will be a K-COM 2 run at gaming weekend on Friday evening, if I can filled it, and another on Saturday afternoon/evening.
