Nifty. Sounds like a game Jessi or I could get addicted to.

If you infect the office with Warcraft mania, the secret society will get you.

I fail to see what my statement has to do with any interactions at our office.

Because if you tell anyone in the office about the fun you're having, the rest of the department will start picking up WoW one by one... until it's all anybody talks about.

Since my girlfriend won't compete with WoW for my attention, I'd be left out. Sooo, so sad.

Weeee! Adam uses Ewa's distaste for electronic entertainment to make himself the victim of discrimination in videogaming, thereby allow her to dictate policy for a social group she isn't even present in.

Now that's secret society stuff.

Ain't it grand? The ethics of the situation are defined by intent, which is absent, so unintended control is being exercised through purely ethical means. It's a beautiful dynamic. So beautiful, it makes me want to cry.

Ahahahahahaha.

(Hm. What server are you on? I predict that we're not on the same one -- I joined Proudmoore last night.)

Ah. I see you joined Proudmoore just before it entered its extended 16-hour maintenance cycle today. Perhaps you should start a character on another server whilst you wait for the system to come back up...

Well, I found their web site and looked into this game more... (The only info I've heard on it is basically from bronzite's posts.) Since it requires a monthly fee, I can't see myself joining anytime soon. Also, their web site does a horrible job at convincing me why I should play the game. (It just seems poorly organized for newcomers to me, although it looks like it provides valuable information for people who have already decided to play the game.)

I think I'll stick with Nomic as my gamer habit this month.

In all fairness, I can justify the $14.99/month by using the dollars/hour rule. When I work it out, the cost comes to only about $0.38 an hour for an average week, and since my entertainment cap is around $4.50 an hour, its actually quite a cheap form of entertainment.

If you're sure that you're going to spend that much time on it, then it certainly makes sense. I just wouldn't be so sure, and their web site in the few minutes I was there failed to convince me that I would.
