A New Game

I wound out yesterday by buying Star Trek:Armada II. Very cool RTS. Its very much like ST:A, but the ships have Warp Drive, and the Galaxy-class can seperate the saucer module. Very cool. Too bad I won't get a chance to play it tonight. Why? Because Carrie said she'd like to come over to play DOA3. Its probably a very negative reinforcing thing that my XBox has a better social life than I do, but you go with what you get. I thought about inviting Rach over also, but she hates video games. Its truly a wonder that we get along.

In other news, Adam left for California today. He should be there right now. I hope he does well at his MQP. He's been looking forward to it. However, it does take with him one of my few modes of transit around the city. So be it, I will live.

Another amusing thing happened today. The registrar sent me a notification that I got into a class I was waitlisted for, but didn't tell me which one. I'll have to wait for the updates to hit the web in order to find out what that new class is.

I still have a scheduled rant on video games and trust issues, but I think I'll save that for when I'm in a negative mood. I feel good right now, but I'm not quite sure why...

Two annoyances: One, Carrie doesn't seem to be coming tonight. Two, ST:A2 doesn't seem to work on my computer. Why? Bugchecks when it gets to the interface. I went to the Activision website, I looked up the bug, "The ATI RAGE FURY PRO is not supported." Jeez. I couldn't buy a break.

Yeah! I got ST:A2 to work on NEPHRITE. I had to update my video drivers. Unfortunately, it runs very slowly. I really need to get a new machine.
