More Work, More Objectives

Waiting at a bus stop at 0550 is no fun. No fun at all. Especially when its 18 degrees outside. Today my bus broke down on the way into work. The WRTA actually was pretty good about getting a replacement bus out there, as well as a repair truck for the broken bus. We were back underway in about 10 minutes. I'm just glad I wasn't waiting past the breakdown point, or I would've been standing in the cold another 10 minutes.

Today I called just about every 1-800 and 1-888 number UPS owns, trying to get permission to install Worldship on REINDEER to test the new shipping system. I have several new entries in my contact list! However, I need to get more data before I can start testing. Such is life.

On the plus side, no misfortune has fallen me today. I just signed up (at my mother's urging) for a new credit card. That should be an experience. One the plus side, my sterling credit record should be bolstered even more. Its nice to have money, even if WPI insists on taking it all away.

I also revised my Matchmaker profile on Worcester's SocialWeb today. Nobody moved around a great deal, and I think all of my matches are still the same, just in a different order. Sometimes I think about sending out a message to one of the people on it, but I haven't thought of a good justification for it yet.

Oh yeah, and NEPHRITE is rebooting at random recently. It seems to be at times of high disk activity. Exactly why, I do not know. Last time this happened was on JADEITE, and it turned out to be the video card drivers. I have no idea why this problem would suddenly crop up, unless it has something to do with the installations of Yuri's Revenge or Empire Earth. Perhaps I will investigate it later, but at present, it only happens once every few days, so I'm not extremely concerned.
