2003 In Review

For the truly curious, here's a rundown of 2003 for me. For those who are not, snip.

2003 had a number of major milestones for me. I took CS1006, where I met Heather, from whom I learned a great deal, not the least of which was how to cook (knowledge I still deny to this day). I experienced the worst Meet the Parents story I have ever heard. I finished my major project at Checkerboard. I graduated from WPI. I lived away from home for the first time in my life (dorms don't count). I got my driver's license. I bought a car. I was laid off from the first job I ever had. I was discharged from another 18 hours before I started. I attended the memorial of one of my bosses (no relation to the lay off). I became closer to an old friend, and more distant from another. I watched still another leave the region altogether. I developed a preference for Frank Sinatra. I met Kate and we started going out. I drove through the Ted Williams Tunnel.

Cool, can I be credited with your introduction to Sinatra? I think his whole collection is still on my Amazon wish list, but I haven't updated that thing in so damned long, I'm sure it's no longer valid.

Cool car, cool girlfriend, cool music, and an escape from Checkerboard. Sounds like a damned good year to me. *G* All things considered, it was a pretty good year for me too. I finally beat sleep apnea for good. I finished my two bachelor's in high standing.

Coming to the Greek restaurant tonight? You can bring Kate. :) I'd like to get to know her better.

Take care, chief.

Well, my appreciation for Sinatra has come less by honest recommendation and more by association, but that's a story best left off this man's Internet. If you would like to take credit for it, I would be more than happy to have a Cover Story.

Greek? Food? What? Word has yet to reach my ears, but I assume this is the game imets been setting up for the past few days (which I do believe I was in on), so I expect so. Don't expect Kate to make it, though.

I don't think Imets knows yet either. I wanted to wait until my lunch break to give her the what-for.

I'm not sure what the name of this place is or what time we're getting together. Talk to Tom for details, but if you end up setting a time, try to make it 6pm or later. :)
