1st-degree Burns

So this weekend I travelled to New Hampshire for a mother's side family reunion. It was fun, I saw a lot of people I rarely see, went boating, kayaking, swimming, etc, and burned every exposed element of my epidermis with the scorching heat of nuclear fire, courtsey of Sol. Saturday night I slept in a one-room cabin with two uncles and three cousins. We slept in metal bunks, that emitted such a shrieking sound whenever one rolled over that one was sure to awaken the entire cabin, and this happened many, many times over the course of the night.

And that's ignoring the nonsense with the fire alarm.

So today I got up, prepped and drove back to Branford. At least, that was the plan. In practice, pezzonovante called my cell phone while I was sitting in the clog of traffic that now perpetually adorns 290 from exit 18 to exit 16. So I went to visit him and had dinner at his house (seeing a number of other people there) before finishing the voyage back home. I would write more about my weekend, but I'm very tired and burnt at the moment, and really want nothing more than to go to sleep.

You had dinner at your cell phone's house?

Ah. Makes much more sense now. You had me quite confused for several days there.
