The Morning of the Fifth

Last night I blitzed directly from work to WPI, parted, and sprinted down Salisbury Street to the Armory where it mets Grove to attend Anna's awards ceremony. I arrived just in time for the proposing of toasts (the toast to the president had a miserable turn out. I know he's unpopular, for God's sake, its a military event, people!) Anna ended up walking away with three decorations, not including a staggering number of clusters for Service, Academics, Honor Roll, and a number of other activities. I found it vaguely amusing that each category is assigned a campaign ribbon, and each cluster is worn like a battle star.

After the awards dinner, I walked back to WPI, where I milled about for about 30 minutes looking for anybody I knew. I eventually found Quiet Dan. He said there had been activities that night, but they had broken up. Dejected, I went home for the night. Today I'm free & clear, so if something's happening, drop me a line.
