[PUBLIC] Cutting Corners and Breaking Conventions

Given the propositions that 1, many of us are getting older and 2, many of us are going to bed before 2300 voluntarily, and 3, many of us wake up around 0700 on weekends anyways, I've been thinking about breaking long-held convention and running a Sunday morning D&D game this summer. The concept would be a game that met around 0900 on Sundays, and ran the printed WotC modules. Also, pancakes, or waffles, or perhaps eggs. Dungeons and Bacons. Grapefruits and Glory. Brunching and Box Text. Interest?

1) I imagine you mean 230a.
2) This sounds...awesome.
3) I'm interested pending compatibility with getting to church.

1) Actually, I meant 2300. The 0 is the alt-character for the p on the Droid keyboard, causing that somewhat unique typo.
2) I am glad you approve.
3) Can we make relieve your time crunch by simply making your character a Cleric of Yahweh?

Possibly, assuming that regularly missing it (due to, say, being out of state that weekend) is not a big deal.

I can't imagine. Part of the point of running the published material is 1) Its about the level of thinking both GM and Players want to do Sunday morning, and 2) There's not so complex an overarching story that missing a few sessions would be a show-stopper.

Yummy

I'm totally down with the pancakes or waffles. Eggs? Not so much.

I could be intrigued by this process. Location is important, however. Not sure I'd be interested in cruising the pike at 8am on a Sunday every weekend. Also, breakfast is excellent.

Waltham would almost certainly be the venue, given my current player distribution.

I would be in except for my sig other+gaming rule. I would be willing to come and make the breakfast :-)

Depending on how soon "This summer" means, Stacy and I'd be interested, should we succeed in moving back to MA.

I'm envisioning a June or July start.

::nods:: In that case, around August I may be asking if you have slots open.
In the meantime, good luck!

On the one hand, I depend on Sunday mornings to sleep in when I'm not sleeping enough. On the other hand, I am finding that your observations of getting older, having a job, and waking up at 7:15 even when I don't have to are holding true. Plus, my social life is still tied enough to Brandeis that it tends to be slower in the summer. I would be interested in this venture. I'm willing to provide vegetarian breakfast options, and also willing to play the healer.

I would be more than happy to have you, and your delicious foodstuffs, too.

Sundays are usually accounted for (Pleasent St brunch and house projects... putting in a new bathroom, YAY!), but keep me in the loop, maybe I'll drop by once in a while.

Duly noted. I suspect I'll have to keep a few "drop-in" characters on-hand for such visits.
