[PUBLIC] Mexico, Part I've Lost Count

This morning was exciting. I thought my flight was leaving at 1200 or so, so I shared a taxi to the airport with my coworker at 0745. I discovered this morning that my flight left at 0955. Skippy go fast! Fortunately, Saturday morning in Mexico City is a pretty dead time -- we made the airport in about 40 minutes, and I breezed through check-in and security. Right now I'm taking a breather in the Red Carpet Club before catching my flight.

So far this has been one of the gentler trips I've had to Mexico City -- there was actually a project team here, and I was attached almost the entire week to a fellow who was fluent in both English and Spanish. It greatly greased the wheels of what would otherwise have been an extremely difficult assignment.

On the one hand, this trip has instilled me with less of the independent sense of self-reliance that I normally get from traveling alone in foreign lands. On the other hand, this was a lot less stressful than most of my trips to Mexico have been so far. I'd write more on my thoughts, but I don't have that much time before I have to make the trek back to the gate.
