[PUBLIC] Making Up Time (part three of perhaps several)

I have received my new SmartPhone and activated it. It is now paying the price of my over-caution, and downloading nearly 4,000 backlogged emails from my work account. Apparently it took it upon itself to ignore my "Last 3 Days" directive and impress the new boss, without realizing how much it was biting off. Fortunately, its smart enough to only pull the first kilobyte or so of the message, so I'll only lose 4MB of memory to its enthusiasm.

I've also installed VB2008 on my computer, and am mucking about with it now. I'm looking forward to being able to leverage always-on Internet in my life. Its probably for the best the unit doesn't have GPS, or I would be tempted to provide real-time feeds on my location (and for my own use, the location of my PDA in case it proves to be the kind of device that likes to take walks for itself).

In other news, Star Trek: The Next Generation would've had a much more cohesive overall story line had it not been for the Writer's Strike of 1988.

Having only seen the second season before in reruns, watching it all in a row was... suboptimal.
