Hotel Operations

So this week, in frustration with new TSA regulation, I entirely forsook my luggage and put a change of clothes in my laptop bag and just took that. It made the trip to the site as nice as it could be, considering I was on a booked-solid Southwest flight. Unfortunately, I underestimated Marriott's concern for my financial safety. I submitted one shirt to be pressed and returned all of my clothes to my bag before I left for work, leaving only a small pile of receipts on the desk. The cleaning crew interpretted this lack of presence as my premature departure from the hotel, chucked the receipts and checked me out. I returned in the evening to find my key didn't work, and the front desk explained the situation to me. I asked about the fate of my receipts and shirt (which should've been placed in my room). I went to dinner while they sorted it out, and when I returned they comfirmed my receipts were destroyed, and my shirt was missing. Fortunately, about 30 minutes later they found it (having been cleanly pressed). Suffice it to say I got a fair number of Marriott points for my trouble.
