“August 10, 2006, 1245 hours. Eppley Airfield, Omaha, Nebraska. The rumors of the massive delays at the airports — at least here — are vastly exaggerated. I moved through the security line with greater ease than I have most times in the past. The only curious aspect of it is there is now a large mob of people holding Dunkin Donuts and other coffees standing outside the security checkpoints. I don't think that, uh, any of my friends who are going to be flying today or tomorrow seriously need to worry about coming to the airport hours early in order to make their flights. Uh, at least here — and I don't know how it is at O'Hare or Newark or the major airports — there's no real serious problems. Well, anyways. That's my report from Eppley Airport. Bye bye.”
