Legoland!

Yesterday ultimatepsi and I went to Legoland Windsor for the day. It was really a blast. We went on all three rollercoasters at the park (each of which was very fun, but The Dragon definitely was the best of them), drove boats, rode a number of more generic rides, and watched a 3D movie at one of their cinemas. The ticket price was only 29 pounds each, which wasn't too bad as all the rides were free of charge on entry. Unfortunately, the price of Legos was not significantly below market even in their Discount Warehouse (although it may be significantly below retail in England). The most remarkable part of the park, though, was Miniland, a lego recreation of many, many famous sites around Europe and the United States, completed with moving trains, aircraft, automobiles, boats, and where appropriate, articulated structures (including a Space Shuttle launch). All the models on site were built out of regular Legos, too. It was really remarkable when 3 or 4 foot high (and in many cases, 9 or 12 foot high) models were built entirely out of conventional Legos. I would really recommend it for anybody going to England, even if you're not in the 8-12 age range.

My guess is that the other ones (particularly the one in Denmark) aren't too shabby either.
