I Love My Big Brother

So I got dropped at LAX at 1600 PST yesterday, for a flight leaving at 2210. I checked in, found a nice, abandon part of the terminal with a power jack and sat down and finally got some serious coding done on the 2006-1 engine. Note to self: I overengineer stuff way too much. I got on the flight several hours later, and to my considerably chagrin, found it hard to sleep. It may have been the sheer dump of adrenalin that rushing into my system when our A320 hit the rumble strip at the end of the runway, a system similar to the rumble strip on a highway, except for aircraft taking off on days they can't get a good look at how much runway they have left. Dear god, it felt like the plane was breaking up.

Anyways, I landed at Logan, got my bags, and went to the Park & Pay station to discover I had no idea where the hell my parking ticket was. It wasn't in its normal pocket, nor in the sometimes-used opposite pocket. After rumaging through my coat, I determine I'm not going to find it, and I just want to go home, so I drop my bags in my car and head down to the Garage Office. They tell me to just drive through a cashier lane with my license and registration, and they'll do the rest. Holy Moly, it worked, too! I drove up, forked over my L&R, and the cashier popped out a shiny new ticket for me, which we then settled with my credit card, and I was off again. Go targetted survelliance systems!

didn't you post about the parking system at Logan Airport before? I seem to remember they have a very nice big brother system there...
