Limited Tactical Victory

After two days of wrestling with the servers here in New York, I have finally brought them to an operational status superior to that which they possessed when I arrived. Its not what I wanted, but its better than nothing. Suffice it to say, since I got to New York, I've had a case of the gremlins like I've never seen before. IIS pages not loading, COM+ calls mysteriously jumping to hyperspace, databases spontaneously dismounting or failing to allow logins, user accounts dropping permissions to whole database clusters. By 1430 today, even DTS, my personal bitch of a subsystem, started acting up, spinning me into a level of pissed off I have never been to before in my life. I have, however, persevered, and everything here now does what it is supposed to.

Unfortunately, all this means I am now almost a week behind on the development of the 2006-1 engine. Any coding monkeys want to help me with that?

I think there must have been a wide-range low-power EMP or something. Things were acting up at work today for us, too.
