A Change of Plan

I do so love this job. This morning I was told at 0900 that the chap I was blocked on at the client site wasn't going to be finished by the end of the week, so I could go home. I called the office, got my flight moved to today, but then, a project in New York got word that I was available and requested me for the rest of the week. So I flew to Providence this afternoon so that I could catch an early morning train tomorrow to get to New York for tomorrow & Friday (meaning I'll miss the bulk of Wedgegaming and kgola, ironically enough, because I'll be in New York).

Oh, and the Marriott Providence Downtown isn't actually downtown. Just for future reference.

"but then, a project in New York got word that I was available and requested me for the rest of the week."

That's what you get for being so popular ;) Seriously though, hopefully your schedule next week will be easier on you. Good luck.

Does that mean that we're not set up in Nebraska...? We're supposed to send a guy there on the 28th still. :/

They were totally like, "Dude, we're running the whole project off 1 2.4 Ghz box", and I was totally like, "Nuh-uh", and they were like "Yay-huh", and I was like, "Dude, you totally need to get your hardware shit together to support the load", and they were all like, "Whatever."

I love it when giant companies cheap out on hardware. Save pennies to lose millions!

Is your first sentence serious or sarcastic?
