A press release about it, not from the company's POV, is here: http://patentlawportal.com/article/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15&Itemid=37 .

The press release assures us that "Even if the Federal Circuit eventually validates storyline patents, all patent applications are subject to the rigors of novelty and nonobviousness." Having seen such 'rigors' applied to software patents, I'm not feeling too optimistic about this.

i don't think so, but good luck in finding a plot that doesn't have any prior art.

A de facto joke, anyways...

As an aside, apparently in the old days in order to get around the fact that you couldn't patent software, you'd instead patent what the hardware implementation of your software would look like. I have a wonderful example somewhere in my office -- I'll try to get you a link. :)
