Back on Cape Cod

I'm back on Cape Cod this morning. This weekend was great -- being on the Cape and taking Halloween off meant that I was able to spend FIVE nights in Worcester/Shrewsbury this weekend, from Thursday to Tuesday. It was a good weekend to be in Worcester, as well. WalMart's "7-10 Day Shipping" made it to WPI overnight, so there was much MechCommander 2 this weekend. On Saturday 2005-2 and 2005-3 ran, with much excitement in the D&D game and very little in the MechWarrior game. On Sunday was Wonderland, Ben's Alice in Wonderland LARP, in which I protrayed the King of Hearts. I finally got to do some underhanded work in a LARP, which is nice, as I've been rather typecast in WPI LARPs. I really shouldn't discuss the game here, as I'm told it may run again, but suffice it to say, the game was a lot of fun, and it was the only costume I got to wear this Halloween.

I've also learned that apparently my MechWarrior game is eating Founders 103, and they spend a significant amount of time discussing it. Of course, the volume of discussion they have, I have found, leads them to generate a large number of theories about whats happening in the game, and why its happening, many of which are wonderfully wrong. It also helps that there's a ridiculous amount of material written on the BattleTech universe, so I can largely respond to an inquiry by delivering the book that discusses that topic.

Halloween itself I spent on campus, observing various costumes about campus. lopaanre was dressed and spoke as a Professor from Oxford, jalawingedone was dressed as a beautiful young princess, and mariaklob was absolutely hot as Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman. There was also a Charlie Brown as the Ghost, a Link, a Ninja, and a rather large number of other costumes hanging about. I was in the role of a Biological Disaster Containment Agent, as I valiantly contained and detroyed a former foodstuff at 25T, but I didn't get to wear a costume (although I did get to bring my own bacterial identification expert.)

Who was your expert? Let me guess, Rory? Was the bacteria identified?

Yes, he was, and yes, it was.

It was identified as green, blue, and red.
