Interview from sirroxton

1. Of all the games you've played, what is your favorite tactical victory?

No doubt, BF1942, playing online, the USS Enterprise engages IJN Akizuki on the Midway map. I was at the helm of the Enterprise, fleeing a submarine. The Akizuki saw me before I saw it, and closed. I knew I had no chance of outrunning it, and both of my aircraft were attacking the island.

Nominally, I didn't have a prayer in this engagement; he had five-inch anti-ship guns, while I had flak cannons that couldn't track a target so low in the water. However, just as I was getting ready to make for the lifeboats, an old rule came back to me: "If he's bigger than you, get out of his way, if he's not, cut him in half."

I knew BF1942's engine couldn't handle ships breaking up, but the carrier was a loss anyways, so I turned toward him and rammed amidship on his port side. The result was excellent, outstanding, a credit to the corps. The destroyer rolled under the keel of the carrier, and finally capsized and went under. I got a lot of OMG WTF? after that from the commander of the destroyer.

2. What is your favorite strategic victory?

That certainly had to be the battle of Resupply 0001.

3. How about the biggest bitchslap dealt to you by life that you feel comfortable sharing?

Probably being laid off from Checkerboard when I had been assured a fulltime position there for years before hand.

4. Food is the new religion, much like butt crack is the new cleavage. What's your favorite type of cuisine?

American. Steaks, hamburgers, schrod, and the like.

5. Where in the world have you been hiding? Who is this new tutor?

I've not been hiding; I've been exactly where I've ever been. I assume by "new tutor" you mean Kate, which is a remarkably inaccurate assessment of the situation, but she's a Costume History major at the University of Connecticut.

*sprays diet orange dry out his nose* Oh God, it burns! It burns!

As for question 5, I probably could have done better than a mistargetted Phantom of the Opera reference. Sorry, chief. :)
