Weekend

This weekend saw some interesting issues. First, my flight from O'Hare to PVD spent 3 hours on the Tarmac in Chicago, meaning I didn't get into Providence until around 0100 Eastern. I drove to Worcester, got there around 0200, and knocked off for the night. Friday was spent taking care of various work-related issues and going to see the most recent Star Wars. In the evening, ultimatepsi stopped by, and that was good.

On Saturday was WPI's graduation. Lots of interesting interactions there, and I got to catch a few people whom I probably won't see much anymore. Saturday afternoon lead into the reception, which was followed by what can only be described as the Sack of Founders.

Sunday I spent in Lexington with ultimatepsi and various components of her family. At 1600 I drove to Logan, got on a 1920 flight to Chicago, got on a bus to the Avis terminal that's 6 minutes away. The bus ride took an hour, by which time the person who was waiting for me left me for dead, so I bussed back to O'Hare, and caught a taxi, which I was told repeatedly by the attendant and the driver took credit card, but once I reached Lincolnshire the driver told me in extremely bad, almost unrecognizable english, that he had never heard of this "credit card" thing, and so we had to stop at an ATM for me to get cash to pay him. He ended up dropping me off at the Marriott Resort, which is about a klick from the Marriott Courtyard, where I was staying, but by that time I was tired of arguing. I paid him and walked the rest of the way, making the hotel at 2300 Central, eight hours after I left.

I thought Friday was your weekday off. As if you weren't taxed enough. Sorry, man. Sending you my sincerest wishes for a stress-light trip this week. :/
