Updates!

Point 1: I don't have reliable Internet anywhere other than work, so today I came in early to hijack bandwidth with DIAMOND. In other news, much has happened since I last updated. I now live on Cape Cod it seems. I'm currently residing in my temporary residence, a three-room cottage with a small kitchen and no external lighting whatsoever. It is very nice and cozy, and a five minute walk from the sandiest beach I've ever stood on (with this awesome view of the Massachusetts Bay from Sandwich to Provincetown.) Alas, I am without long-distance calling or Internet connectivity there, and my cell phone gets just enough reception to burst small text messages out, meaning I am rather limited in my communications once I've gone home in the evening. I'm considering finding a dial-up provider in the area, but somehow, that almost seems worse.

Point 2: I've started at Backoffice Associates. My current responsibilities are rather limited, largely reviewing training manuals for my own familiarization, and also for spelling and grammar. I'm told, both by the company and by United Airlines, that I will by flying to Chicago for four days on Monday, to assist a project there. I'm looking forward to it.

Point 3: Gaming Weekend was a lot of fun. I played in Three GM's, where I twice received applause from my party for, ahem, creative solutions to my problems. That's always a good feeling. I also ran K-COM, a combination of X-COM and Kobolds Ate My Baby. K-COM was apparently a wild success, as the fools, er, players, sat and played for seven hours straight (I lost two to other games and sleep, though). I feel the base system is solid (especially because the inspiration for it hit me a week ago today), and I know where changes need to be made for K-COM 2: Terror from the *Bleep*.
