Oops!

A bit ago some of you probably noticed an entry from 2002 go up on my site. Due to the freakiness that is LJ, it got moved to the front of my Journal to everybody but me. As it happens, it ended up being a tear on Adam from 2002. It was purely happenstance that that page happened to be the one that got scrambled up to the front. I'm trying to wrestle it back into its proper place in the time line now.

Anyways, as you've probably figured out by now, I've begun declassifying old entries from my 2002 log that was on my WPI account, since it could prove useful for people to compare and contrast what's happened in the last two years, even though it empties into a one-year gap before my LJ picks up in December of 2003, it should provide an interesting retrospective for those who know what happened in 2003, and an aire of mystery for those of you who don't. We'll see if this was a good idea or not in the next few days.

Current Mood: embarrassed embarrassed

When you say "declassified," do you mean publically open to any and all interested? An open portal into previous iterations of Bronzite would be too tempting to avoid at least skimming if you're handing out the URL...

That leaked entry was hardly a *tear*. If that's what you think a tear is, you're a lot more gentle than I thought. :)

I'm exceptionally poor at tearing in written format, especially for my own edification. I'm getting better.

Well, that was two years ago. I won't hold your inability to properly tear into my soul against you.

Aw, I'm not authorized to see them anymore. By the way, sorry if your queries on my site brought you any unpleasant memories.

I was wondering if you'd see those. Backreading your log was very... enlightening.

Thank you. Diplomatic is an adjective rarely applied to me.

See, the only thing that bothers me about these half-open journals is this:
Any negative opinion you demonstrate amounts to an accusation. Any accusation heard by third parties and unheard by the accused amounts to backstabbing. It discredits you and hurts the reputation of others without chance for redress.

Now, I don't know how much negativity is bandied about in these journals, but I hope you keep this in mind and act accordingly.

Among men of good character, backstabbing isn't a problem. The backstabber is informed of his error and if he doesn't relent, the backstabbing is reported to the offended. People don't tend to be that awesome though. I'm hardly one to lecture... It'd be wonderful if our culture reinforced this, though. *sigh*

I read through the first few entries, and it seems that you used to be a lot more open and detail-giving. Was this because very few people knew of its existence? I'm learning much more now about who you were back then, and now I feel that I don't know very much about who you are now, since it doesn't seem to me that you're providing the same level of personal detail nowadays.

You certainly don't have to reveal any information you don't want to, of course, but it seems a little odd that you're providing many details about a couple years ago and few details about now. Is there another private journal that you're keeping now that you intend to declassify in two years?

I don't want to sound prying... I hardly detail everything about my life on my journal. I'm just curious at the reason behind the sudden declassification of some relatively personal entries.
