Ocean's Eleven

Today I got up around 1030 when Meese woke me. I took a shower and Jessica and I went for a donut before she took Meese for a walk in Institute Park and returned to New York. I went to WPI. I worked on my MQP most of the afternoon, but stopped in the Wedge to talk with Andrea at lunch and dinner. Our conversations are slowly improving in quality, and we did not stray into the grossly medical (although at dinner we had some anatomical conversation). I got some grub from Gompei's (and I do mean grub), then walked back to the Wedge. While I was there I ran into Lonna. She's not looking so hot. She told me that the night before was a frat formal she attended. She said she was three hours late so Justin, her boyfriend, was upset with her. Apparently, after he got smashed she took him back to the frat house to take care of him. When he finally lost consciousness around 0600, she wandered downstairs, where the festivities continued into the dawn. The exact details of how were somewhat blurred, but she woke up some hours later in another boy's room, somewhat disrobed. So now they are both mad at each other. But they still went to see Ocean's Eleven on the Quad tonight, so they must've gotten over it. Andrea had told me earlier that she wanted to finish a Chem Lab before she came to the movie, so I sat with Kevin and Nina (who were rolled up in a blanket together) as the movie ran. Andrea showed up about 10 minutes into the film. She brought a friend named Joe to sit with her on her blanket. As such, I was consigned to the ground "below" her as we lay on the grass, while Joe was up by her side. The whole incident was somewhat depressing. Judging by a cell phone conversation Joe had during the movie, he already has a girlfriend, but the fact that Andrea brought him along makes me suspect she really didn't want to associate with me at the movie. Perhaps she was worried that I would try to make a move, and she didn't want to give me the chance. Maybe this Joe character thrust himself upon her as she left for the film. Perhaps, perhaps. Near the end of the film it started to ran, so I excused myself and walked home as quickly as possible so I didn't get too wet. I am dying to know what Andrea thinks of our relationship, but since that slip up in October, I'm too nervous to ask her point-blank. How I am going to handle this situation remains a problem. Perhaps I can use the Kevin-Nina connection to glean some data about her opinions, but I expect that won't happen. Kevin and Nina seem to associate Andrea and I already, but Andrea certainly doesn't. I wonder if Nina and Andrea ever talk about it. Oh, to be a fly on that wall!
