Leadership Institute

Today was one of the most incredible wake ups I've had in a long time. I set my alarm for 0606 (per my 0800 Stats Lab), and when it went off, my room was cold. So I hit the snooze, and each time, the room got warmer. It was really cool. I think houses should be designed like that, so the room is nice and cold all night, and then warms up in the hour before the occupant awakens. It was a great feeling! After that, I went to my Stats lab. That was no fun, but I got it turned in. Then I went and worked on POIM for an hour or two, then I went to work with Pete. On the way home we saw the most interesting accident on the first 290 exit after 190 merges with it. A car struck another car in the right lane at the mouth of the exit, and another car was stopped between the two lanes, pointing about 45 degrees port of what it should be, and the driver was still inside. The car was apparently undamaged, it was just sitting askew in the middle of 290. Two other undamaged cars were stopped in the divider between the highway and the exit, where diagonal white lines are. I also had the first day of the Leadership Institute today. It was fun. My Lan and Steve Webb are also in there. We did a couple of interesting things. I talked with Lonna over AIM today. She and Steve spent the day making out. However, she thinks that Steve is still in love with Sarah, so she's not sure what to do. Poor Lonna has guys all but knocking down her door, and she's still lonely. What surreal torture it is to have her among my friends; both of us alone, one because of consistent rejection, one because the one they love loves another. Who is in better shape? Does it matter?
