Working at the Office

Here I am at the office, once again. It snowed pretty bad today, but I got through to work. Getting home will be interesting. I'm starting to worry about Lonna. I haven't seen her online or at work for a few days now. She told me just before we last spoke she was going to tell Tommy that she wanted to see other guys... I hope nothing unfortunate befell her because of that. This does not bode well.

What else is going down... lets see. I price the upgrade to refit JADEITE to KUNZITE's projected specs. By using the existing parts, I can knock the price tag from $1800 down to $1000, but that is before the video card and the new harddrive. Still, it is a consideration. I'm feeling much better about myself now that I'm back in school. I think that having the PM Replacement project dominating my life at work was not doing me any favors. Now I can have classes dominating my life again! Which reminds me, I looked through my RH3112 stuff from the bookstore. $17 for a packet of photocopies. Unbelievable. I have half a mind to write a letter to Tech News about it, and see if it gets me anywhere. And one of my books is largely pictorials of women in varying degrees of undress, to the point of having excerpts from Playboy and its ilk. I'm all for embracing an open society, but isn't this a bit much? I'll feel profoundly uncomfortable if we need to discuss these essays, which are about the way women are perceived in art, in class. I always feel like I'm being held responsible for the actions of all the Hugh Hefners and Ramblers in the world. Who thought it would be funny to use these kinds of works in an academic environment?
